Robert Stalnaker is the Laurance S. Rockefeller Professor of Philosophy at MIT, where he has taught for more than 25 years. Before that, he taught at Cornell University, the University of Illinois, and Yale University. He is the author of Inquiry (MIT Press, 1984), Our Knowledge of the Internal World (OUP, 2008), Mere Possibilities (Princeton U. Press, 2012), and Context (OUP, 2014). He has also published two collections of papers, Context and Content (OUP, 1999) and Ways a World Might Be (OUP, 2003).
