David Z. Albert received his PhD in theoretical physics from The Rockefeller University in 1981. Afterwards, he worked with Yakir Aharonov from Tel Aviv University. He is currently the Frederick E. Woodbridge Professor of Philosophy and Director of the MA Program in the Philosophical Foundations of Physics at Columbia University in New York. Albert has published four books: "Quantum Mechanics and Experience" (1992), "Time and Chance" (2000), "After Physics" (2015), and "A Guess at the Riddle" (2023), as well as numerous articles on quantum mechanics. In 2015, he was elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences.

Katiuscia Cassemiro has vast experience in cutting-edge research and technology, having implemented several photonic platforms enabling new studies of quantum characteristics of light. She received her Ph.D. in 2008 from the University of São Paulo, Brazil. She held a Humboldt fellowship and is awarded the “For Women in Science" prize (L’Oréal-UNESCO—Brazilian component). She obtained her tenured professorship position early in her career at the Federal University of Pernambuco (Brazil). Katiuscia joined APS in 2015 as an Assistant Editor with Physical Review A, and in 2019 she joined the team that designed PRX Quantum.

Anna Grassellino is an Italian-American physicist, Senior Scientist, and, since 2020, Director of the SQMS (Superconducting Quantum Materials and Systems) Center at Fermilab. In 2017, she was awarded the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers by Barack Obama. For her doctorate, she specialized in superconducting radio frequency technology and applied physics. In 2009, she received the top young researcher poster prize at the International Particle Accelerator Conference. She has worked in Philadelphia and at TRIUMF in Vancouver and graduated in 2011.

Philip Kim received his Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Harvard University in 1999. He was Miller Postdoctoral Fellow in Physics at the University of California, Berkeley, from 1999 to 2001. He then joined the Department of Physics at Columbia University as a faculty member from 2002 to 2014. Since 2014, he has been at Harvard University, where he serves as Professor of Physics and Applied Physics. He is a world-leading scientist in the area of materials research. His research focuses on experimental condensed matter physics, with an emphasis on the physical properties and applications of nanoscale, low-dimensional materials.

Robert Konik joined Brookhaven Lab as a Research Scientist in 2003, with subsequent promotions to Assistant Physicist (2004), Associate Physicist (2006), and Physicist (2009). He served as Deputy Chair of the Condensed Matter Physics & Materials Science Division (CMPMSD) in 2015 and became Chair of the division in 2016. As Chair of CMPMSD, Dr. Konik oversees 60 employees and manages an annual budget of about $21 million. Scientists in the department study the basic, theoretical, and applied aspects of materials, their uses, and their electronic, physical, mechanical, and chemical properties.

Bob Henderson is a reporter covering markets for The Wall Street Journal’s finance section in New York. Bob was previously a freelance journalist who often reported on topics in finance and physics. His work appeared in the New York Times Magazine, Scientific American, Quanta, Nautilus, and other publications. Bob has a PhD in theoretical physics from the University of Rochester, an MFA in writing from Columbia University, degrees in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the University of Southern California, and in photojournalism from Syracuse University.
