2nd Year Graduate Student | M.A. program in Philosophy

I am interested in aesthetics, phenomenology, hermeneutics, but also philosophy of mind and philosophy of language. I am especially curious about ideas of the self and other, intersubjectivity, embodiment, semiotics and the problem of how language signifies the ineffable, with a particular interest in the sublime and akrasia, states of mind that result from paradoxical experiences.

I did my undergraduate work in Latin and Ancient Greek at Oberlin, and I then spent a decade in book publishing working as an acquiring editor for an indie press dedicated to publishing books that advance social justice.
