1st Year Graduate Student | Ph.D. Program in Philosophy

My primary philosophical interests are in metaethics and epistemology. I am specifically interested in epistemic normativity (norms of belief and inquiry) and normative categories (the evaluative, the deontic, the fitting). I have derivative interests in metaphysics, especially various metaphysical relations (e.g. the determinate-determinable relation, constitutive relations, grounding) and their potential to shed light on the structures of different normative categories.

More recently, I have also been interested in the (underexplored) philosophy of asexuality—in particular, the sexual attraction vs. desire distinction and its ability to help us make sense of asexuality.

Before coming to Columbia, I received my BA in philosophy from Dartmouth College (2023).
