Ph.D. Program in Philosophy

2026-27 Center for Teaching and Learning Fellow

My primary interests are in 19th and 20th Century Philosophy, as well as Social and Political Philosophy. In particular, I work at the intersection of moral psychology and social theory, investigating how philosophers have drawn on these resources to develop and advance their respective political projects. A central aim of my current work is to theorize the role of technology in public deliberation, examining how technology mediates – or undermines – the deliberative capacities required for democratic institutions to function. I also maintain interests in ethics, pragmatism, and the history of philosophy more broadly.

Before coming to Columbia, I completed a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at the University of Oxford (2022).
