1st Year Graduate Student | Ph.D. program in Philosophy
My primary interests are in moral philosophy, aesthetics, and the philosophy of law. That is to say, I am interested in a variety of normative projects — in learning about how we should act in life, in art, as lawyers, and as citizens. I am also drawn to metanormative projects, with a particular interest in the authority and stringency of rules, norms, and laws. If moral demands are more binding than other normative structures, how is this so, and is it philosophically prudent to make that distinction?
