M.A. program in Philosophy

I am primarily interested in social philosophy and the history of philosophy. I am especially drawn to questions about how theoretical ideals motivate moral behavior, what phenomenology reveals about the conditions for living the good life, and how our inherited philosophical frameworks shape our orientation to the world.

I am also interested in jurisprudence, the relationship between law and morality, and the philosophical foundations of democracy.

Before Columbia, I received a B.A. in Philosophy from Harvard College. After graduating, I will pursue my J.D. at Harvard Law School.
