B.A. Hons. in Pure Mathematics and Philosophy, University of Sydney (1982);
Ph.D., Princeton University (1991).

Jessica Collins has been a member of the Department since 1990. Her research in philosophy is driven by a desire to understand the nature of rationality. She has worked in the past on counterfactuals and the metaphysics of causation. Her current projects  focus on the foundations of causal decision theory and on decentralized consensus: the epistemology of the blockchain.
