Ph.D. Program in Philosophy
I work primarily in aesthetics. While I was originally drawn to the field through my experiences as a musician, I’m finding that my research is taking me further towards the intersections of aesthetics with social philosophy and morality. I’m particularly interested in violence and immorality within art, and what it means to engage with these forms of art as both artist and audience.
Before coming to Columbia, I received my BAHons in Philosophy and Creative Writing and a Diploma of Music from the University of Melbourne.
